G protein-coupled receptor D1
Receptor Tyrosine Kinase: TrkB (BDNF) Ret (GDNF)
Channel: NMDA receptor

Kinase: Fyn, mTORC1, mTORC2, SGK1, PKA, PI3K, AKT, ERK
Phosphatase: PTPa, STEP

Small G protein: H-Ras, Rac1, RhoB
Guanine nucleotide exchange factor: GRF-1
Transcription factor: CREB
Scaffolding protein: RACK1

DMS: Dorsomedial striatum
DLS: Dorsolateral Striatum
NAc: Nucleus Accumbens
VTA: Ventral Tegmental Area

GO signaling pathways are activated by heavy alcohol use promoting
alcohol-drinking behaviors including excessive drinking, seeking, goal-directed behaviors, alcohol habit and relapse.
Not shown is mTOR signaling in the OFC (activated by heavy alcohol intake or alcohol prime) and CeA (activated by alcohol prime)
Green star depicts the NO GO signaling pathways that are activated by moderate alcohol intake limit alcohol drinking. Breakdown of the NO GO signaling pathways results in a transition of moderate to excessive and compulsive alcohol consumption and the development and/or maintenance of other alcohol-mediated behaviors.
Not shown is BDNF in the ventral hippocampus, and mPFC
